FAQ's

1. Is OffHerTrolley Secure?
 
We take security very seriously. You can order on-line from OffHerTrolley with complete confidence and peace of mind.  Our consumer data, such as credit card numbers are encrypted. We transfer the encrypted data over the Internet using secure socket layer (SSL) technology so that your online shopping experience is safe and secure. All card transactions are encrypted, which means that your credit/debit card details will be coded during transit and are unusable by any party other than OffHerTrolley.
 
2. Is my data protected?

 

OffHerTrolley is committed to complying with the Data Protection (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Law 2001. You can access our web site home page and browse our site without disclosing your personal data. However, when you register with OffHerTrolley you will be asked to provide information about yourself which will be for the use of OffHerTrolley only.


3. Do you pass on my data?

 

We will not pass on your data or sell your data to any third party. The information that we collect about you will only be used lawfully in accordance with the Data Protection (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Law 2001. If you agree to join our mailing list then we will use the information you supply to inform you of updated product information and special offers relating to OffHerTrolley. If you have given us permission to send you information about our products and services by joining our mailing list, you agree that by doing so OffHerTrolley is not in breach of the direct marketing code of practice.


4. Do you deduct VAT for Channel Island Residents?

 

All prices on the web site exclude VAT.  For all areas where VAT is applicable it will be applied automatically at the checkout.  The Channel Islands is a VAT free zone.

 

5. How do I know my order has been accepted?

 

You will receive an email order confirmation sent to the email address you supplied.


6. How long will it take for me to receive my order?

 

Your order will be delivered to you within 5 to 7 working days, however we endeavour to dispatch in stock items within 48 hours of order. Our chosen postal contractor or our personal courier will deliver your parcel to the address that you specified when ordering.  You will be required to sign for goods on delivery.


7. What if I am not home when the goods are delivered?

 

Our delivery person will leave a card giving instructions of how, when and where you can collect your parcel.  Alternatively, if you prefer, there will be a contact number to call to arrange for a suitable time for it to be re-delivered. In both cases a signature will be required.


8. Can you deliver to an alternative address?

 

At the present time we can deliver to any address within the UK, Channel Islands and selected European countries. If you wish your order to be delivered to an address other than the billing address, simply amend the delivery details when you proceed through to the check out. Delivery to addresses outside the Channel Islands and UK are charged by country.  Delivery times and charges may vary. You will be required to select the delivery option during the check out process.


9. What if I need to return items I have ordered and received?

 

If you are not entirely satisfied with your order, you can return it to us. We will refund in full provided that, within 7 days of receipt the item or items are returned complete, unused and, in their original packaging with any merchandising tags intact. To return your parcel simply complete the Returns Form enclosed with your original order and take it to the Post Office where you will be required to pay the postage.  For your protection please ensure you return the goods by recorded delivery.  We regret we are unable to refund against goods which are lost in transit from customers and proof of posting is not proof of delivery.


10. Do you offer next day delivery?

 

Yes we do, however this is a chargeable service. Please visit our Special Delivery page for details.


11. What are Cookies

 

A cookie is a piece of information in the form of a very small text file that is placed on an internet user's hard drive. It is generated by a web page server, which is basically the computer that operates a web site. The information the cookie contains is set by the server and it can be used by that server whenever the user visits the site. A cookie can be thought of as an internet user's identification card, which tell a web site when the user has returned.


Are Cookies Dangerous?
No. Cookies are small pieces of text. They are not computer programs, and they can't be executed as code. Also, they cannot be used to disseminate viruses. Cookies are stored on the computer's hard drive. They cannot access the hard drive - so a cookie can't read other information saved, or get a user's e-mail address etc. They only contain and transfer to the server as much information as the users themselves have disclosed to a certain web site.


 

12. What if I need to Cancel?

 

If you need to cancel your order please email back your "acknowledgement of order" e-mail to: duffedit@offhertrolley.co.uk  stating your intention to cancel your order. As OffHerTrolley always makes a great effort to process orders immediately it may not always be possible to stop an order being dispatched. In this instance please return the order, within 7 days of receipt. Where your order is returned to us within 7 working days of delivery to you, or you notify us in writing or by e-mail of your wish to cancel your order prior to dispatch, the cost of your order, should a debit have been transacted, will be reimbursed in full. The return postage costs will be at your own expense.
 
13. What do I do if I've forgotten my Username?
 
Email us at contact@offhertrolley.co.uk  and we will email it to you.  Your password is secure and known only to you.  If you have forgotten your password too please follow the steps below to reset it. Alternatively, you can register again.
 
14. What can I do if I've forgotten my password
 
If you have forgotten your password, at the log in point there is a button which offers to reset it for you.  You will receive an email with the new temporary password.  It's probable that you will want to change it to a password that is more memorable to you.  You will need to log back in with the new temporary password then:
1. Go to "My Profile" box
2. Select "My Account"
3. Scroll to bottom to password box
4. Add in a new password and retype it to confirm
5. Click on SAVE
You will remain on that page, there will be no indication that your password has been changed.  Log out and log back in using your new password.
 
15.  How can I change my password
 
Follow the steps above from No. 1 through to No. 5.
